Hey, nice initiative. Such device could be (if it can be reprogrammed) used to interface a PS/2 keyboard to other computers like MSX machines.
I've a FM77AV keyboard adapted to a FM-77AV40SX; so if you need some help, let me know...

Thanks for the offer Jitursan. Maybe you actually can help me. Do you have and/or have access to a logic analyser or oscilloscope? I could really use another set of readings of the codes. I would need you to hook up the keyboard to the oscilloscope, and push each button one at a time, pausing for about 1-2 seconds in between each keypress and noting what order you pushed the keys in. Then I would need you to turn on caps lock and repeat the process. Then I would need you to choose maybe 5 keys and push them one at a time, holding them down for maybe 3 seconds before releasing and moving on to the next key. Then I need you to push several keys at the same time, maybe 3 or 4 keys at once, hold them for 2-3 seconds, and then release making sure to note which keys you pushed. Then I need you to push maybe 10 keys at once, hold them down for 2-3 seconds, and then release, making sure to note which keys you pressed. If you could do this, you would help a huge amount. The single key presses are just to confirm the data rate and serial data, but we are still very shakey on how the keyboard handles multiple keys pressed at once, so that part of the test will really disambiguate things for us. If you are able and willing to do this it would be so great, and would be a huge help. Thanks very much!

I'm afraid that I don't have neither a logic analyser nor a oscilloscope Sad
Is there a way to collect some useful info simply running a F-BASIC program?

I'll ask around about whether is is possible. If it is not, would you be ok with me sending you an Open Logic Sniffer with a cable to connect to your keyboard and the software required to collect the data we need? I already have one person who will collect data this way for me but to have it from 2 different sources would be ideal in case there are any mistakes or inconsistencies. From what I know about the FM77AV hardware, it may be possible to collect the data through a series of peeks, but I'll have to ask around to be sure. Thank you again so much for your offer of help.

No problem, if you can guide me using the logic sniffer, I can try to collect the data you are asking for. Feel free to contact me, my mail is available in my profile (I think so)
