Save your basic programs with:

SAVE"name.ext",A

the ,A will do the saving of the file in plain ASCII mode.

Use first blueMSX, load the MSX-BASIC program, then save it with SAVE"name.ext",A (do that on another disk image, because the file size is bigger in Ascii mode), then leave blueMSX and use DiskManager to extract the "new" BASIC file from the disk image : you can open it (and edit it) with the Windows Notepad.

Another way is to make directly the changes on the 'normal' BASIC files in the emulator, then to save them 'normally' (without the A) ... A recommandation : always work with a copy of the original disk image !

IIRC DiskManager (LexLechs) can open standard basic listings as well... And on the MCCM CDs there was this tiny little tool to view MSX-stuff, like SC8 files, GE5 files, and... BASIC files Smile

Right, but the guy that has opened this thread wants also to modify the BASIC files .... My second suggestion is actually the more handful.

Thanks for you suggestive help !!! I'm intending to modify some basic loaders to maintain my files like the original ones ... I noted that most of the .dsk files have been altered and wrong text and screen has been added....LOL!
