Toshiba HX-10 (broken, for spares or fixing-project)

Externally very good looking HX-10 unit, no missing keycaps either. Unfortunately some keys do not work on the keyboard (at least 4, e, space...). Also, something odd has happened with the joystick ports. Another port misses all the pins and about half missing from the second port as well. Computer boots normally to basic and also cartridge slot works (tested with Knightmare).

So, a very good parts donor, or even fix-it-yourself -project.

Price: 15e/make an offer (I might trade this for some game, "The Legend of Konami" book, etc.)

Keys should be an Easy Fix, as the Membrane or Contact Plate is similar to that of Commodore Plus4 and Contacts just Oxidise over time.

WD40 and a Clean Cloth should Fix Contacts and you will have a Good HX-10.

***DON'T***EVER*** use WD40 as a contact cleaner. It may appear to be ok right away, but in little time it will be worse than ever. I don't ever want to think what can happen to the whole membrane. Please use a proper contact cleaner, or at least isopropyl alcohol.

Thank you for your Post, but I used WD40 on my Commodore Plus4 Keyboard over 12 months ago, and guess what? It still Works Today!

It is fine if Wiped Off with a Clean Cloth afterwards, as I stated above. Of course you do Not Leave it on, it is fine as a Cleaning Agent. Done this on Commodore 64 Contacts for over17 Years!!!

33 Euro as Priority packet
67,50 as EMS

There is no such thing as Economy, so the Priority is cheapest available.

If you decide to buy also the tape software I am offering in another post, they can be fitted in the same package with same expense...
