From the UK you might fly to Weeze airport in Germany with Ryan air. From there it's 50 km (+/ 30 miles) by train to Nijmegen.

According to ryan air it's 17.38 GBP for a return flight from London GWK. Hmm train takes 3 hours to go from Weeze to Nijmegen.
Maybe flying to Amsterdam and then grabbing an intercity will be much faster?

Hmm train takes 3 hours to go from Weeze to Nijmegen.A couple of years ago, there was a shuttle bus service between Weeze airport and Nijmegen. I don't know if that still exists, but that should take no more tha about 45 minutes.
