A lot of this ebay advertisement is in ALL CAPS as well. Very loud and annoying in my opinion.
Eventhough the price has dropped since his first sell, $50,- to $70,- is still a lot of money for this computer (for european terms at least) but the hardware specs are now correct (it is marked as the correct MSX1 machine and not as an MSX2 anymore)
A lot of the games presented in this advertisement 'for MSX' are MSX2 only, so there is still some mis advertisement, since these games don't play on this console.
All-in-all a step forward and good will shown by the seller since his previous advertisement, eventhough I still don't think it will sell.

I think its a fair price for the US market. Perhaps on the higher end but its in the same price range as you'd have to pay to buy one in europe and have it shipped.

For God Sake Patsie,
I feel like leacving this site all I do is get insulted here,
Is that all you people know how to do,
I posted the link for you to look at that it all ok.
I also feel that your 158 posts were nothing but insaults,
Sometimes I think that is all everyone does to become Guru's and experts and whatnot.
And one more thing, I will SELL this item if it kills me I was ripped over when I bought it so I derserve a good sum of money when it gets sold ok.
So please once again get off my back.

Thank you!

If you post something here (AND SHOUTING NONE THE LESS), you may aswell expect people to respond. According to European standards (and Patsie's inside EU) you are asking an outrageous amount of money for this MSX1. Dvik explained the cause of this, so no need to get all worked up IMHO. Anyway, I hope selling this item won't kill you but please stop abusing caps and don't make other people pay for your own mistakes (I'm referring to you being ripped off and now wanting a good sum of money). Good luck with the sales!

@Zappsoft: why is it that every time somebody gives you some feedback, you throw a fit? I didn't make any insults towards you (show me where I called you names and you'll get an apology) just gave my honest to goodness personal opinion towards your advertisement. Some of it may have been negative, but some was also positive, that's how it works. Relax and learn from other people's feedback.

I have to agree with bart and patsie although i have to speak about greece and msx prices. There are some retro computer shops that sell retro computers.

In Greece in some of these shops a typical msx1 system like the one zappsoft recommends is being sold for about 80 euros!?!?!?(yes crazy price but remember here in this country msx is something really retro and rare,on the other hand spectrums are very easy to find and cost so much less here because in the 1980ies and 1990ies spectrums were sold like gums in the shops).

Now for me if the postage is good i would consider to buy this computer from zappsoft mainly because in greece it is so expensive to get a new msx1.

Now i know that for usa it is expensive although you don't have to buy it if you don't like the price.Zappsoft or anyone like him or any ebay seller cant force you.

However Zappsoft i understand that you don't have much experiance from forums.

If you follow the follow guidelines you will be excellent user here.

RULE no 1:Never shout and never write in capitals when you post message. It makes us feel like you are yelling at us or that you are aggressive. For me this is the only mistake.

RULE no 2 and 3 and 4 are like no 1:do not shout or yell by writing sentences in capitals unless it is REALLY a need to do so.

Best regards

Ok,
See ever since I bought this MSX 1 system,
I have had nothing but trouble,
I apologize to everyone,
See,
I know I sound like a mean mad guy all the time,
The truth is I paid $300.00 for this thing and since the only game I have for it is Vampire Killer for the
MSX 2 system, And we all know it won't play on it, Or so I am told. 2s wont play on 1s,
But anyway after I finally bough a 2 system I am now stuck with the 1 and am doing everything I can to sell it.
I know in the U K you can buy them of the street for nothing,
But in the US these things cost an arm and a leg, See they make these things in both
JAPAN and the United Kingdom but they never made them in the United States.
Again I am sorry, I will try to be more respectful,
I just want it sold and out of my life!

Thanks

Zappsoft no need to apologize!I had similar troubles with a spectrum 128+ heatsink.Only troubles.I paid 70 euros for it and about 30 euros for postage cost, because generaly in order to send something to Greece the greeks have to pay for it (maybe in europe we have some of the most expensive postage costs). The membrane was f*cked up,the power supply too,i needed at least 30-40 more euros to fix it.I spent the money for it.Totally about 150 euros.I know exactly how you feel.

The only reason i told you about the yell and capitals is because i was a victim of this too.
Many years ago when i started to post on forums guess what:I posted messages in capitals.Well more experianced people told me not to do so.

Even if you yell noone is going to attack you and bite you. It's just that we should not yell or shout (unless of course there is a reason for itWink

Relax and enjoy the good forums here.Everyone is here to accomodate you and help you.

No need to apologize, just try to follow the rules, fasten the belts,no alcohol when you are driving (unless of course you only intend to play Hyper rally from konami Smile )
Remember we were all newbies sometimes in the pastSmile hehe

If you are interested send me an email,i know a greek forum that deals with retro computers, there may be people there that could bid on this:Remember in greece this computers -(not bought from ebay of course)- but when bought from retroshops really cost an arm and a leg (who knows?Maybe some greek people don't use ebay a lot?),while spectrums literraly cost nothing (but in greece you can't find the 128+ heatsink model, only the rubber spectrum)

Best regards

Many years ago when i started to post on forums guess what:I posted messages in capitals.
I always wondered why people do it.
To catch more attention from readers or because the letters look cooler that way? Smile
