Weird, that the National could not go with sea mail?? I remember having it shipped together with other MSX machines by sea mail through Shopping mall Japan (they are gone now).

They put both computers in the box that was way larger than needed (so it was not possible to ship by sea - no idea why), but with a lot of packaging material. The box suffered bad damage on the way and was somehow fixed with tape. If there would be less protective packaging, both computers could have been badly damaged. Next time I will not combine orders with 2 large and heavy computers.

The box must have been really huge compared to computers. I remember ordering two FM-T (first series large and heavy) computers in one package trough sea mail. There was still enough packing material between them and the box for surviving the trip.

Or then this corona situation has restricted somehow also sea freight limits...

Yeah I know situations like these really suck and there is no way they can refuse to send those 2 computers in a combined surface package as they would definitely fit. This is why a good practice is to check each middleman services beforehand. Also I got another flashback- that new IDE driver is just shitty and full of random bugs, try that older version

Don't blame the driver. It's a combination of many different factors that affect the usability. No software or hardware is perfect.

The FS-4600F came only with one paper holder. I made a 3D model to replace the missing one. As I didn't have a hardened metal wire at hand, I had to use the normal 1mm wire that doesn't function well as a spring. So I had to also use a small rubber band to create necessary tension. The model is here:
