Hi guys,
Forgive the (noob) question, is there a disk version of Solid Snake anywhere that works on a stock MSX2 (NMS2850)?
I get a boot screen, and then it simply halts. Lack of memory?
Thanks.

I think any disk version of Solid Snake needs at least 256K RAM, and even 512K if you also want sound.

sometimes the diskversion is on poke -1,255
Change that to poke -1,170 in the loader or add that

128k is simply too little for a memory mapper version, nothign to do with the poke. And the wrong poke results in a direct reset.

On marktplaats some1 sells cheap megaflashroms with scc and 512k. You can flash the solid snake rom on that and have hours of fun Smile
You could also invest a bit more and have the ones on www.msxcartridgeshop.com ;)
