How can i play zipfiles, i want to add my games into a zipfile.
Do i need something special from Sofarun, or do i have to make a adjustment in de Sofarun directory ?

I use Sofarun with the Megaflashrom and a NMS 8345.

Old video and version of SofaRun, but this should still work:

Nothing special to do, just put your games in the ZIP file and browse into it like in a normal directory.

You can use the tool you want, on whatever platform you want (ZIP format should be standard). I'm using 7zip. Just be sure it has the ".ZIP" extension (.RAR files produced with WinRAR won't work,RAR files are a different format - but IIRC you can also create ZIP files with WinRAR...).

You can, but that still won't turn them into .ZIP files, so they will not work. You really have to create a real .ZIP file with for example Winzip or 7-Zip.
Please also make sure not to ZIP a RAR file. You have to ZIP the original .DSK or .ROM files.

Don’t rename .rar to .zip, it won’t work, they are different formats. WinRAR has a ZIP option though:

https://www2.cs.sfu.ca/CourseCentral/120/ggbaker/instr/winrar

“To create a file with WinRAR, first select all of the files you want to add. Then, right-click the files and select "Add to archive…". When the WinRAR window appears, make sure you select the "ZIP" archive format. Press "OK" and a .zip file will be created in the same directory.”

i would recommend just 'storing' them in the zip file without any compression.

Is that possible without compression?

Yes. At least Winrar has this option.

Yes. 7-Zip also has this option.
This way the files will open a lot faster on your MSX.
