Hello everybody,

I'm Patrick R. and I was part of the MSX Club Limburg (Landgraaf/Elsloo) in the early 90s, where I grew up with a few MSX computers around me. After not having touched anything MSX for a lot of years I became nostalgic and started looking around. So cool to see there's still stuff going on!
So I took an emulator and went through all the old Sunrise, Future Disk and specials that I knew from those times and it's just great to see all that again. Now I'm wondering: would there be somebody that would still have the old Maas & Mijn disks laying around somewhere?

Welcome back to the scene PatrickR. As a Limbo myself I never heard of the Maas & Mijn Disks. Where they some kind of monthly disk magazine ? Or was it a one time only disk?

It's already a looong time ago, but it was a disk magazine. There were only a few editions of it and iirc it was born out of some drama between Atlantis (Bas and Tom Wauben) and the rest of the Future Disk crew.

I've also sent an email to Rinus Stoker, if there's one person around who would know if these disks are still around: it would be him.

Love that picture!

I've had those red MAD disks as well, it's just been way too long ago to actually remember what was on them :(

Oh!
I also love the picture. I'll use it as my background. Thanks hamlet.

Sorry, I don't know anything about Maas en Mijn disks

While I do know that I have some, I can not help you since they're somewhere else in storage. But maybe Rinus Stoker could help you out. As far as I remember he was with them, joined them later or took over when they stopped and merged it with Paradise to Totally Chaos.

From the second sentence it's all based on memory fragments, so I could be (partly) wrong.

Wow! great to see more people with those vague memories Smile

Reason I'm hunting these disks is that I worked on one of the games that was shipped with them, a bumper car multi player game with top down view. I did some of the graphics for this oldy, but it's so long ago that I can't even remember the name of it Big smile

In case you'd ever pass by your old storage, could you take a look for me?

You'll probably find it earlier than that. That's why I mentioned Rinus' name.
I'm not near the storage the next ten months. Sorry if I teased you. That was not my intention.

I hope it's the top down bumpercar game I have never been able to get my hands on. At some MSX fair in Tilburg or Zandvoort I saw this game on display, but it was not for sale at that moment. Later I never came across it again, but I never forgot the game. It looked like a really cool game to play Smile

In my mind it had some full screen scrolling, but I'm not sure.....
