Help to create SD-BIOS Card on Zemmix

Hello guys, I thought I remember how to create a SDBios card for Zemmix but I have realized that something is missing. I've created a custom OCM-BIOS.DAT file using the tool available in KdL extra pack for Zemmix. After that, I've put in the right folder to use with the tool sdcreate.cmd and I've launched the tool. Aparently it creates the SD correctly, the Zemmix Neo boots, but I'm not sure if the SDBios is working.

Did I create it correctly? Any test to perform? Thanks so much.

If you setup the OCM-BIOS using the batch file I can choose the logo used (I have a SX-1). If you are not sure if the bios is changed, I'll just use another logo. Also if I boot the SX-1 without the SD-card it displays the default MSX logo.

On the other hand, just for curiosity, which are the advantages of using SDBios instead of internal BIOS? Is there any specific software working on SDBios but not on internal BIOS?

SDBIOS is the complete one while the internal EPBIOS does not contain JIS2-ROM and Option-ROM.
Also, NEXTOR cannot be started from the internal EPBIOS except for SM-X and SX-2 machines.

PS. To easily create the SD card I suggest you use the scripts contained in OCM-SDBIOS Pack.

With the OCM-BIOS you could also add your own roms. Or do some modding on the system roms. Cannot do in a easy way on a real MSX.

Yes I use that tool, is really easy to create the SD . I've been testing WSX Bios and Turbo R GT Bios, they are really nice. The Turbo R one has a nice compatibility with games, I didn't expected so many games to load.

One question guys, how can I install Nextor? I've created the SDBios card using the tool provided in the pack, it seems that ir already contains NEXTOR.SYS file but it seems to boot in normal MSXDOS2, maybe? I try to execute MAPDRV for example and I get error "Nextor required".

To run NEXTOR.SYS you have to create OCM-BIOS.DAT with Nextor kernel instead of MegaSDHC then overwrite the file in the SD card.

In the address bios pack you can also find pre-built versions of OCM-BIOS.DAT with Nextor included. These are the ones that start with n3x

Hello all, a strange behaviour I've found now creating SD-Bios card and I'm pretty sure is related with some W10 update, because last time didn't happen.

I proceed in the normal way, using the tool provided to create SD Card after place in sdbios folder your desired OCM-BIOS.DAT file. When it finish, aparently didn't copy OCM-BIOS.DAT file to the SD, it's not even hidden, and if you insert it on Zemmix it doesn't boot as SDBios. What do I do? Just after create the SD, I manually copy again OCM-BIOS.DAT file to the SD and Windows 10 warn me that I'm going to overwrite the file (quite curious because file is not present, even it's not hidden), I confirm operation and now the file is visible and it works.

I remember that last time I created SD (22/01) it wasn't needed this manual copy, so some Windows10 update is making weird things. If you have the same problem, try to proceed doing this (manually copy the file after create the SD)
