Golvellius 2 Data/Save disk

Hi there.
I finally got Golvellius 2 with translation working on my MSX2.
I've come to the second world and wanted to save my game by presseing F1, but the game won't recognize the data disk. I tried to copy from an original dsk-file, and also tried with a regular formatted disk but no reaction from the game. It simply asks for a new disk without even trying to read the disk in the drive.

Does Golvellius 2 need some kind of special format for saving?

It just needs disk A (the one that boots with the introduction) and that disk needs to have write protection disabled.

Oh dear, now I feel foolish, I've been hunting around for a disk C/User disk/Data disk in different versions, but not a single have work. Will try with Disk A instead. many many thanks!

Thanks for clarifying this, I could never get saving to work either.

Another thing that always bugged me about this game was that the music seemed to loose a small element once the first sound effect played. I always thought is was a bug in the translation patch, but the original does exactly the same..
