Dear MSX fellows,
I'd like to know if any of you know any cheats or pokes for the game Blockade Runner (a 1983 shoot'em up by Interphase). The game itself sucks, but it brings me great memories of old times, and now I'm obssessed to finish it (too bad it's impossible without cheating)...

Try it with the reverse functionality of openMSX... or do you want to run it on real MSX?

I'm not aware of the existence of Blockade Runner cheats; but you can find interesting info about how to find them in this thread: BlueMSX cheats galore.

Most of these cheats are included in the emulators (but not Blockade Runner, I think), but in my experience, it's much more fun to use reverse than to use actual cheats.

Thank you Manuel and jitursan, a good soul called Soo Yous actually edited a ROM version of the game and sent it to me by e-mail. The edited game allows you to finish it.
Manuel, what would be this reverse functionality of openMSX? Is it an editor or something like that? I normally use BlueMSX, does it have a similar functionality?

You can rewind, like a tape, and continue playing where you were earlier. It’s hard to believe that it’s possible, but it is .

Reverse functionality is only available in blueMSX 2.8.3 beta : http://www.vik.cc/bluemsx/blueforum/viewtopic.php?t=1841
