Aaaaah come on, GuyveR800. It's his/her first posting Smile And he/she probably already did a search, else he/she won't come up with this old thread, would he/she? Wink

ah, I know this is an old thread but I'm having the same problem..But I'm using NLMSX for the emulator..could someone run by me how to do that disk stuff? I haven't been into this for very long and don't really know anything about it.

I suggest you make one with a util such as DiskManager for windows. Just search for Disk Manager on the web and download it. If I remeber correctly it was made by the author of RuMSX. Start Disk Manager, then select File, New... Make sure 'Copy data from disk' is unchecked and check Disk format/capacity. Make sure the box below it reads '2 sides, 80 tracks, 9 sectors/track (720KBytes)'. Then click OK.

After you've done this, select File, Save as... And save the new disk file with the name you prefer and in the directory (folder) of your preference. Assuming you named it 'EMPTYDSK.DSK' you should be able to use that file in your emulator. To select a disk in NLMSX press F6, select the disk image you want to use, and click OPEN. That's it.

Good luck...

Snout, you think maybe we should place a disk image called EMPTYDSK.DSK in the download section?

GuyveR800, no, thank you Tongue I hate emulators, but 'recently' tried to do some stuff with NLMSX. I used both DiskManager and Diskexplorer or something, but the created DSK-images were unreadable. I started a thread about it here and someone even looked at a DSK-image I created. He discovered some strange thing in the bootsector, but don't ask me what is now. Already forgotten that. And haven't used an emulator in months Tongue I won't burn my hands on this one again.

Latok obviously has an image to uphold Wink

Not sure which one right now, though.
