SD Snatcher Saving

iv got SD snacher working under fmsx-sdl-2.6.0.40 but when i try to save it says insert user disk and push space is there any way to save

Yes, you can save by inserting a user disk (virtual in this case) and press the SPACE key.

With SD-Snatcher any completely empty (as in formatted) disk can act as user disk.

i used a blank disk but it wouldnt save

In the fmsx-sdl launcher add all disks, including a blank user disk, using the add button next to the drive a: input box. When all disks are added, push the go button. When the game asks for the user disk you can switch disks using ctrl+f10, do this until the name of your save disk appears.

I suggest you make one with a util such as DiskManager for windows. Just search for Disk Manager on the web and download it. If I remeber correctly it was made by the author of RuMSX. Start Disk Manager, then select File, New... Make sure 'Copy data from disk' is unchecked and check Disk format/capacity. Make sure the box below it reads '2 sides, 80 tracks, 9 sectors/track (720KBytes)'. Then click OK.

After you've done this, select File, Save as... And save the new disk file with the name you prefer and in the directory (folder) of your preference. Assuming you named it 'SDUSER.DSK' you should be able to use that file in your emulator.

ah, I know this is an old thread but I'm having the same problem..But I'm using NLMSX for the emulator..could someone run by me how to do that disk stuff? I haven't been into this for very long and don't really know anything about it.

This has been explained over and over again. Use the search option (left menu).
