I guess the main issue most of the time is enemy AI development...

Not sure, in a games like Road Fighter or Vampire Killer, the need for AI is close to 0. Most of the time paths are pre-defined and NPC movements are really not complex...

Even though it's a predefined/timed path, it's more or less still an AI. I do agree for example the hellhound in Vampire Killer has a bit bigger AI than those magenta zombies.

True, yet it's only a list to browse and update... And when working with still screens (no scroll) like in Vampire Killer, the size of the list to browse and the coordinates to manage should be pretty straightforward to handle no ?

How old is the Nosferatu project? I remember that I saw some scrolling level with the main sprite moving at the Zandvoort 1990 fair.
Or was this another project?
AFAIK The sprite just moved until you met a big snake. No enemies and the animation of the legs had some flaws.

Where can I get the demo of Nosferatu? I think is a project that MSX needs... MSX need adventure games like that! You have a buyer for sure!! Big smile
Now seems to lot of groups returned to the scene, it is time to return to work! Smile I dream with adventure games, racing games and... soccer games for the MSX!

Hmm let's see sargon had a running version running at there site when they released defender 1/ Guide Trough Gameworld 1 which contain some of the artwork and music which were intended for Nosferatu. (Some of the music later then was re-used in the Lost world !). So that should be Zandvoort 95 that Pigeon Soft / Sargon showed it.
Which means MGF announced it '94.
So if was shown befor by the fuzz then ro should maybe know.
One thing muzax 1 states a song named Nosferatu so the actuall project idea seems to be at least as old as muzax.
After Sargon I think Near Dark got the hands on it and after Near dark.
Then a few years ago I read a announcement of someone on MSXINFO who said he was busy with it. Don't know the name and can't dig it up. However also that person put the project down.

when you release gamesongs on a musicdisk, it's usually an indication the game is dead Wink
