Hello,

I have visited Fuzzy Logic page and there is a few screenshots of Nosferatu. Seem a cool game. What happened to this project?? There is any demo? It is a pitty that the project was abandoned... there are any possibility to continue?

Hai Oscar,

Yup, it's a darn shame this project never got from the ground. We were too ambitious. We had a GREAT graphic artist (John Robin Smith) and a great Music composer (Hans Cnossen)... we, ro (shadow) and alex (savage) being the programmers, came up with this "kernel" for the game.... but that project got bigger and bigger. The kernel, however, got finished and did a great job on other projects like Muzax and the Sunrise mag.

Nosferatu died on the departure of John (it was kinda HIS project)
And we, the fuzz coders, were too bussy coding our asses off with stupid demos (which we liked better)
much GFX, much Musix but no code (altho there is a working demo of the engine which includes animations, music, screens and more)

That's kinda typical. Projects snowballing to the point where it's size discourage anyone from finishing it... Why not making a "simplified" version of it tho ? There seems to be enough material to make something very nice out of it !

That's where the "fubsy" idea came from. "making a simple game and build from that"
making games just wasn't the fuzz's prio thing to do. demos were more fun and quick to make (for example every Muzax disk was typical 2 days work, except for the music ofcourse. code+gfx in 1 weekend. go figure)

but still the urge to finish Fubsy is @ hand. BUT the new KERNEL version needs to be finished (and there we go again....) Smile

The only games ever finished are those litle menu-games on the Picture disks

check SRPD#1 for example:

Hey, I remember those Picture Disks menu/games ! They were really cool Smile I liked that Road fighter lookalike. Used to think this should have become THE MSX2 RF version with other cars and the like (I loved the MSX1 version but hated the jerky scrolling).

So you're telling us you're ready to spend that much efforts making a complete game when it's only for a menu but not when it's for the sake of making a real game ? Tongue

yup, but the games are very very simple. mostly no enemies (except for the shooter on picdisk 10!)

here's RF msx2 version Tongue

I must have some disks with Nosferatu graphics laying around somewhere, too. Including 'Nosferatu Play' Smile
