well let me tell you how. you need the casette recorder for the hydlide 3 msx 1 version saves and for msx 2 version that I am not sure of weather the msx 2 version has internal sram or not. but for msx 1 version, what you do is that when you goto the inn on the one of the pop up dialog press 'esc' and save/load menu appear, think there are 3 pop up dialogs and try on all 3, and that I think it does. and you can save and load there I think. wait. I think to load in msx 1 and/or msx 2 you press 'esc' at the start menu. let me know if this works.

Thx for the info.. but it looks like you are talkin' like you have never seen the english part of Hydlide 3...

T&E soft celebrated there 5th anniversary and because of that they published Hydlide 3 in Japanese AND English...

But anyhows what am I wining about, you are just trying to help me...

What I understood from others is that I have to buy a Japanese FM-PAC (panasoft I think) with a SRAM in it... then I can save Hydlide 3 because I will never do that on cassette....

I hate cassettes and especially datarecorders... that screaming sound, the always returning checksum error....

Thanks to that I'm still on prozac you know...

the game is in english too dude. just goto the last one of the start menu and click space on it and it changes the text to english giving message saying something like 'display messages in english' or something like that. that i know for sure of msx 1, msx 2, and msx 2 disk versions of the game but not about the 5th anniversary edition which i never heard of.
