gaming , coding , controlling external devices , storing data , .... or whatever anyone can imagine ?

You'll find a lot of hardware projects in Hans Otten MSX Info Pages: Do It Yourself.

I've no idea about how the HX-10 expansion slot (are you talking about the one in the rear?) differs from the standard MSX one; but undoubtely if you find a externally mounted project, you'll need to keep in mind the fact the it's not a MSX compatible slot. In practice, the HX-10 has only one MSX slot.

Internal mods are usually easy to adapt between MSX models...

My first MSX is a HX10. A very simple MSX 1 machine, standard IC's.

The expansion slot is a standard slot, but with a non-standard connector.
Easy to make an adapter to a MSX type connector, its a one on one cable if you use crimp-on flatcable and connectors.

Hans, who made many external devices for this machine, connected to joystick, printer port and slots. The reason the MSX Info pages are full of info on diy projects!.

i goy my megaflash from there also , fast shipping , works like a charm.
But u need a HD ( tons of roms in subdirs ) or FD ( few megaroms per disk, or many 16k/32k games ) to load flash rom with a given game.
u get scc sound as well with konami games .
