No technical reasons block it from working on a MSX1 computer.
But most of the programs made for it count with MEMORY MAPPER and that might be a problem for you.
So what exactly do I have to have in order to use the GFX9000? Or what is recommended?
You should just need a MSX computer and maybe a floppy drive. The reason I mention memory mapper is that the software need more than 64KB RAM it will require memory mapper. Memory mapper is possible to operate on MSX1 but it's usually regarded as a MSX2 feature.
That's it.
Thank you.
One more question. What is the video connector on the GFX9000? Looks like VGA to me but I cannot (again) find a good photo and the discussions I have read imply it is an RGB.
The Technobytes model comes with a RGB to CVBS video encoder.
It can output CVBS, S-Video and RGB 15Khz.
Here's what their moonsound and GFX 9000 looks like inside:
“5. Unfortunately, we have only 38 V9990 for this batch - So, the firsts 38 paid reserves will be met;”
So, better pay your order quick .
Thanks again!
Grauw, there are already 44 people on the list.
Paid mine allready we will see what will happen. Kinda interested in this piece of HW. Many great possibilities.
@cklayman But only 22 have paid.
(I wonder if they mean the first 38 payments, or the first 38 who have paid by a certain deadline.)
Anyway it’s a very good price. I was thinking about getting one, but I already have a Gfx9000 and seeing the limited quantity and high interest, I’m going to pass, someone else will be more happy with it .
