Hi everyone,
I own a Sunrise IDE-ATA + RS232C interface (PCB : ATA-IDE v4.1, RS232C v1.1).
This hardware is now broken, probably after putting it the wrong way in a slot expander/board.
The embedded flashrom is a 512k AMD AM29F040B(120pc) chip.
Flashing this flashrom with the 64k DAT.file (v2.40 flashrom update) provided in Sunrise website didn't help.

Before proceeding deeper inspection, I'd like to know if someone can provide me a whole 512k dump of this flashrom.

I tried to use getrom.bin one file called bdos disk bios 2.2 would not save to disk, don't know if there is a better rom dump program for the MSX.

On my board, flashrom is placed in a socket. The AM29F040B can be easily removed and dumped with the appropriate hardware.

you can also use saverom.com, which is more generic, but a little bit less user friendly.

Don't bother with software. Open the case, verify you PCB for "version number", remove the flashrom and dump it.
