My new Philips NMS 8280 arrived today and picture show part of what was inside:

Does anybody have good ideas how to fix that front panel so that it does not fall? :)

The diagonal parts to connect front and case tend to break easily after all the years... I opened one just a few months ago, and just by unscrewing it, a big crack appeared... Then imagine what can happen if such a machine goes by mail and being (possibly) thrown around with...
Imho the once so sturdy Philipses have become quite fragile when it comes to the front...

you could buy a nms 8250 frontpanel to replace it. will need some work for the sliders though

There are plenty of 8250s with issues to wreck.

MSX2+ modification is next thing to do if I ever get that front panel fixed. I found these instructions:

http://bas-ditta.info/verkoopenlinks/doehetzelf/msx%202%20pl...
http://msx.hansotten.com/index.php?page=msx-2-upgrades

Is there anything else I should know?

I do not understand that language but I think video digitizer will not work because V9958 pins 4, 5 and 6 should go digitizer board? Those 74LS02 and 74LS173 are for F4 register latch?
