Thank you for the drawing! I will use it to make an Eagle library.

Ninja Towns -> Ninja Tap with support for FM-Towns controllers SELECT and RUN(START) buttons will work
Circuit is cut in half so the board can be stacked, pretty much like the original Ninja Tap.
PCB is designed for a PB-203 case.
Files available at github repository

PS: there is a NinjaTown website. Couldn't resist to borrow the name.

I don't understand. Had to remove 2 ports to add Run and Select button support?

The support for the extra buttons is provided by the added LS139s.
You need two identical boards, one stacked above the other,
to make a full device, like the original Ninja tap.

Very cool! I liked the different color buttons to differentiate the players.

I'm only thinking about it now, but with all the remaining buttons, we might have added a 5th joystick port on the Tap that sends its 6-bit status (4 directions and 2 buttons), through the unused Start/Select buttons of each port (4 x 2-bits). Smile

I can't wait to get my 2 Taps! \o/

Do not hesitate to create a wiki page for each of your creations!

The Ninja Tap exists, the games that support it exist too.

There are only three games, one of which (Magical Labyrinth) was sold with the Ninja tap. Magical Labyrinth was later improved. So I don't count it as a fourth game. These games haven't been on sale for years and they haven't been dumped.

Only three... for the moment. Smile
I hope that with the support of Ninja Tap in MSXgl and my driver for BASIC, it will encourage more people to make games that support this device.
For my part, when I'm not adding features to MSXgl, I'm working on a small project that will be playable with the Ninja Tap.
