Yeah! Got mine yesterday. First impression is quite positive but audio volume is really low when coming from headphones out.

Yes, that's how I see it and I don't understand that. Why do they offer a connection for headphones when it is practically unusable? Hasn't anyone tested that?

Hello, everyone.
I've got mine yesterday and I joined the club for sharing my experience.
Of course, there are many points of improvement or tweaks it need here and there but generally I really like my machine right now.

1. Missing Game DB entry
I found there is no database entry for my two games.
(Both confirmed by "gr /d" command. System updated via WIFI already)
- Star blazer
- Kinnikuman Colosseum Death Match
Kinnikuman works fine without any modification but the Star blazer doesn't boot up.
Also the Druaga no tou was correctly recognized but it hung up on the messed up title screen (no keyboard response at all)
(All of them are working fine with other real machine or an OCMC)

2. Nextor mount (/vrt)
Can I upgrade Nextor kernel later?
Can I edit the Nextor mounted image? I do not want to boot into screen 1 with huge letters. I wish I can make an autoexec.bat file for that.
Can I assign different drive letters for the mounted drive? Currently it seems only C drive (System SD card) is mounted (as C) with A drive (Nextor boot image) by default. But if I change my current drive to the thumb drive in the VRDOS then start a virtual machine with nextor(/vrt), my thumb drive (current directory) is mounted as C not the system SD card.

3. Full option list (or help files)
Even I love the concept I can control almost everything via the console (VRDOS), I couldn't find the total list of the options for the "gr" and the "play" command. I could only learned them through the "play /wizard" but still no luck for the "gr"

(Oh I found the help system and I need to put space between parameters like "dir /w" not "dir/w"

4. VRDOS, etc.
VRDOS does not use full screen even if I change the resolution higher than 640x480. There is no option for that (not like the virtual machines)
And it seems the power supply for the VRI board is not so stable. I met couple of flickering issues or shutdowns when I tried to connect USB thumb drives or joypad, even when I tested 8Mbit Koei games (Sangokushi 1 MSX2 version) screen keep blacked out and came back whenever the music is start.

I will keep sharing my test results during this weekend.
Thanks again for this interesting device.
It was quite fun when I filled up all 4 slots with games and boot up one by one by console commands Smile

Spanish Msxvr tutorial

In short, put your own autoexec.bat on drive A: , setting the paths to your C: (thumb drive)

Thanks, I will study about VRTunnel bit more.

And the MSXVR team already answered back about most of my questions.
Fantastic support from them. Smile

hi,
this is interesting. I do not understand the memory map of this. Are detailed information available about this 4 slots ? How close do they correspond to real MSX1 machines?

And something different..
msxvr team recommends stereo plugs for connecting tape recorder. Has anybody tested on which connector segments which signals occur?
I wonder how the motor control socket works.. do not know if this is also stereo or especially mono (?)
I lack mono connector so I would test a little ... ... but maybe somebody has figured this out, already. (?)
regards

I got MSXVR a few weeks ago. Like the keyboard. But I cannot connect to WiFi. I tried to search for a WiFi network or manually enter it. And the only response I get is that it "failed"...

Does anybody have any idea where the issue is?
