I think you are confused with the Padial SD interface. That one has an adapted version of EP.COM...
I own that thing. It's very fine!
Thanks a lot for your feedback! Seems, that the Padial MMC/SD is relevant as well as several SCSI interfaces.
But which ones?
- MegaSCSI (japan?)
- Novaxis SCSI (europe?)
What's about the MSX Club Gouda SCSI and the Beer IDE interface?
I'm also wondering if people still using their scsi Bert interface ? I use the sunrise and the sdmegaflash most and sometimes bert interface.
Novaxis!
but i also have a B.e.r.t.
Im using my PC as a mass storage device through the NOWIND interface
What a beauty the MSX standard is ! This thread is proof. So many ways of storing your files.
For sure!
Yeah, really crazy! Tell me ONE (1!) other 8bit system with such a standard, which made so MANY different devices possible. I am quite sure there is nothing compared to the MSX.
I am interested: Is the Bert Interface still relevant, too?
My first mass storage controller for MSX was a Bert (it was 1994 or 1995), I used it with a massive (as in: really huge) 800MB HD.
I used it for about one year, until one day I heard a small "crack" inside the cartridge... and it stopped working. I opened the case and saw that the SCSI contoller IC had "exploded", there was a small hole in it. Unbelievable! The cartridge was still usable as a DOS 2 kernel ROM, though.
After that I bought a MegaSCSI that I used for many years, until I bought a Sunrise CF controller, then a Padial's SD reader... and now I am the happy owner of a MegaFlashRom SCC+ SD.
Except for the Bert, I still have all of these... so I have a nice collection to show to vistors!
Yes, many mass-storage devices
