Okay, I’ve never seen this on the real machines I tried it on. I will have to wait for my CF2700 to return to be able to confirm gdx’ findings. I will try creating an xml for the CF2700 based on what we know now (no MSX-Engine, 32kB RAM in slot 0 besides the MAIN BIOS/BASIC) and 2 primary external slots).

You get the same when emulating the YIS-503, with an MMM in slot 1 and a Sony HBD-F1 in slot 2:

I get the same when emulating the CF-2700, with a 512K RAM in slot 1 and an IDE Sunrise in slot 2.

There is no longer any doubt, MSXMEM is buggy.

You can found it in the ZIP at the link I put above.

Okay, I am apparantly using a newer version of MSXMEM.BAS that does not show this issue.. Here in openMSX 0.15 with YIS-503, a 4MB memory mapper in slot 1 and Panasonic FS-FD1A in slot 2.

Hi, sdsnatcher73
SHA of the yis604ext.rom in your zip is 0fbd45ef3dd7bb82d4c31f1947884f411f1ca344
not b8e30d604d319d511cbfbc61e5d8c38fbb9c5a33.

Which is the correct one?

In this case, most MAME (MESS)'s ROM set seems not to be dumped from original MSX machine.
Also MAME (MESS)'s ROM set is refered from resource of blueMSX site.

I also don't understand why this difference occurred, but personally, what I got from blueMSX's resources or MAME is that it contains ROMs that are not dumped from the original.

For MSX2 Yamaha YIS-604, the following SHA1 is correct.

SHA1:0081ea0d25bc5cd8d70b60ad8cfdc7307812c0fd <-- Main BIOS (32KB)
SHA1:b8e30d604d319d511cbfbc61e5d8c38fbb9c5a33 / Sub BIOS (16KB)

This is information for SHA1 of MSX2 Japanese BIOS.

*Japanese MSX1 BIOS (Normal/Standard)
SHA1:302afb5d8be26c758309ca3df611ae69cced2821 <-- Main BIOS (32KB)

*Japanese MSX2 BIOS (Normal/Standard)
SHA1:0081ea0d25bc5cd8d70b60ad8cfdc7307812c0fd <-- Main BIOS (32KB) / Early Type
SHA1:4ce41fcc1a603411ec4e99556409c442078f0ecf <-- Main BIOS (32KB) / Later Type
SHA1:b8e30d604d319d511cbfbc61e5d8c38fbb9c5a33 <-- Sub BIOS (16KB) / Early Type
SHA1:0fbd45ef3dd7bb82d4c31f1947884f411f1ca344 <-- Sub BIOS (16KB) / Later Type

MSX2 National FS-5500F1/F2 seems to be differerent on both Main and Sub BIOS from Normal/Standard.

I am awaiting a Japanese CF2700 (it was DOA from Japan and is now with Omega to be resurrected). If the surgery is successful I will dump it. I also have a Japanese YIS-503 (but suspect it will be the same as the CX5 and CX5F.

That's great.

National MSX1 machine have same SHA1 of Main BIOS except CF-2000 and FS-4000.

SHA1:c7a2c5baee6a9f0e1c6ee7d76944c0ab1886796c / Main BIOS (32KB)

Adapted MSX1 machine : CF-1200, CF-2700, CF-3000, CF-3300, FS-1300

Boot speed is faster than another standard MSX1 machines.
