Some forgotten Moonblaster songs

I had an MSX2 computer in my attic for 25 years, and it still works.
Some diskettes were still in the case, so I tried them. Although damaged, I was able to salvage some Moonblaster music that I created in 1994.

I readily admit that it is not Impact, Wolf or MOA quality. But it's some of it is not bad. Especially the Italian Food House might be amusing. That's why I'd like to share it. I recorded the songs on YouTube. If there is anyone interested in the original MBM and MBK files, just drop me a note.

I still love this typical MSX sounds. Even though I got a Moonsound eventually which is also awesome. MSX was way ahead of its time in the music department. Hope you like it! :)

Why not submit them to the MRC download database? So your stuff will remain here forever .

After listening i have to admit that it is good quality homebrew MSX music and i also suggest to zip it and upload to MRC downloads. It is worth to be there
PS me too liked some other tunes more than Italian Food House

My kids love the Italian Food House. It's great to see them enjoy a piece of music that I wrote as a kid on the MSX.

Dug a bit further.
Also found some Moonblaster FM and Moonblaster Wave songs.
Now adding them to my MSX YouTube Playlist.

Will gather the whole bunch and submit the mbm's, mfm's, mwm's and mbk's later.

Ok, I'm done with digging through all my backups.

I found the following:
- 34 Moonblaster (MBM) songs
- 15 Moonblaster for Moonsound FM songs
- 32 Moonblaster for Moonsound Wave songs

They're not all stellar quality, but I think worthwhile sharing nonetheless. A lot of effort went into them 25 years ago and most of them have never been released in any way. Made some playlists on YouTube already, they can be found here:

Now that I have collected all of this, my question is: what is the most convenient way to share this through msx.org? I've created ".dsk" images containing the songs, so I could upload those. But I can also upload separate files or zip/pma them... what would be the preferred method?

I think in these days of SD cards, zip would work fine, at least for me. Of course the .dsk files are nice for those that still want to work with actual disks.

Thx Randam, I enjoyed them! Particularly some of the mb14 songs. They are the better compositions
