While in Japan, Bernard told me Yokoi often compared the MSX computer with a Bonsai tree. Before you start working on it, you have to think about what you want to do and how you are going to do it. You only have limited resources available which you often can use for only one purpose. If you work cleverly, the result will be a true work of art.
I like this metaphor, but I think many of you can cook some nice, clever or funny MSX metaphors up as well. So if you know a nice MSX (related) metaphor: Bring it on!
