Yup, very happy and it's working! Mitsubishi ML-F80 with original box and manual. Just ordered a cassette cable so hopefully load some old memories. Cool Website everyone, will be posting shortly.

Well done! If you can afford it, purchase a Carnivore2 or a MegaflashROM SCC+SD
Thirty year old tapes can degrade unfortunately

Hey, ya I was reading a little about this. With The MegaFlashROM , does that let me play 128k games as my model is 64k?

There are no 128K MSX1 games. All MSX1 games use 64K RAM at the most.

If you are not referring to the system RAM size, but cartridge ROM size (MegaROM games), then the answer is yes, the MegaFlashROM can load those .rom files. If you name some examples of games you’d like to play, we could be more specific if and how it will work on your system…

Yes cartridge ROM. I was looking at Nemesis(1986) rom which is 128k size. So I take it that I cannot convert to wav and load into msx as it doesnt have enough storage which is why I need this rom cartridge?

Actually... That is not quite correct Smile

S.W.I.V. is an MSX1 game that requires a 128kB

And that for a Spectrum port...

Nice how the back of the box has pictures from not msx versions (although speccy looks technically the same).

And it was a Spectrum 128k port, so it makes sense... sort of.
Didn't even know there were still commercial MSX game releases in Europe in 1991.
