ASCII MSX Game Reader
Device installs on Windows XP.
It can be installed on newer operating systems creating a virtual machines, see:
- Virtual PC: http://elpeo.jp/diary/20110911p01.html
- VMware: http://www.msx.org/forum/semi-msx-talk/emulation/msx-game-re...
MSX Game Reader could be accessed by the blueMSX emulator: just select it in the cartridge Slot1 menu.
Cartridge dumps can be made with this tool:
"MSX Game Reader tools" - http://www.dvik-joyrex.com/tools.html
Tool can be used manually but requires that user knows exactely ROM size and mapper.
Otherwise, this tool can be easely used in this way:
- put a copy of the "MSX Game Reader tools" executable (grdump.exe) in the same directory of blueMSX;
- put a batch .BAT file in the same directory of blueMSX with this content:

Launch it and it will provide a menu with dumping options.
ROM file will be saved on the same directory of the .BAT.
Some modifications of the code could be read in this thread: A couple of MSX GameReader questions
