It really won't run without the ,R. The instruction you wrote only loads the data in memory. That's it.

Got nothing to do with that XML...

It won't run with BLOAD"CAS:",R either

I get a message from the emulator that the end of the tape has been reached but no changes on the emulated screen but that could be my mistake in the configuration

When you start up openMSX with the machine and the CAS image inserted, it should by default automatically type in the loading instruction for you. If that doesn't happen, the CAS image is not inserted or is invalid. Which CAS image are you trying and what exact steps are you taking?

Note: it is not something in your config, I'm pretty sure about that.

openMSX automatically types RUN"CAS:
It finds the loader
which launches the commands
CLEAR200,50000!:BLOAD"cas:",&H2000

(otherwise the game wouldn't normally start)

The CAS image is inserted and valid

The CAS file is the homemade equivalent of:

New Video Games - Issue 05C - Lavanderia (1986)(-)(it)[aka Mr. Wong's Loopy Laundry][RUN'CAS-']

(GoodMSX).

I also tried the GoodMSX version with the same results.

I was thinking of my bad configuration because the rom I use isn't a standard one, so I might have messed with memory addresses

As you added a disk drive to the system, perhaps you should try to reset the MSX and keep SHIFT pressed, so the disk drive part is skipped. This frees up RAM and some badly programmed games rely on that.

GoodMSX only contains ROM images, so no cassette games... so I'm not sure what you mean?

I didn't add a disk drive to the system yet.

My computer just installed a Windows update and all problems with full screen DirectX apps seem to be solved
