Yep, vDOS works... seems a bit harder to automate into the script without pop-ups etc. but I'll see what I can do.

It looks interesting... I'll give it a chance this weekend... May be a solution. (I'm studing MSX-C right now and it is less complicated that I thought but Pascal is my first option)
So I have no words ... thank you guys.

fixed version (hopefully!) of the make script is commited: https://github.com/decocq-stuff/msx-pascal-project-template
Make sure to update both the make.bat and global_var.bat scripts, install vDOS somewhere on your computer and set the correct path to it in global_var.bat.

so, apparently file access from dosbox is not working as it should?
Instead of dosbox it should also be possible to use openMSX to run the TP3.3f compiler (from MSX-DOS). But it is a little tricky (a limit of 712kB per folder); still, with some careful setting up, it would definitely be workable.

It would have its advantages too, for catching runtime errors. Would need some automated way of switching from full speed during compilation to 100% at runtime though, for the type of things i'm working on.

Yes indeed. Perhaps some watchpoint could do the trick, or you could run some specific small program after compiling, which triggers a watchpoint.

Let's see how it works out with vDos; I'm very happy with it so far; it is a lot faster than DOSBox. And the redistribution rights seem to be extremely loose, so I guess I can keep it all in a single container and include it in the package.

Works very well and indeed a whole lot faster than DosBox. Great job in integrating this so quick already Big smile

Too bad it took so long to find the cause though; after that, the fix was trivial. Thanks for the tip!
I've added vBox.exe to the repository.

Actually, it would be easier and more robust to just spawn separate OpenMSX instances for compilation and execution.

IT'S ALIVE!!!! So much effort and the answer was there was an incompatibility witdh files, Windows 10 and DosBox. My new tests are working. The new template also works great. At last something is breaking good (I'll tell to Heisember). I'm willing to start programming.

It isn't healthy to be depressed Crying an euphoric LOL! (like Danny Glover said: I'm too old for this shit). But when I think so much effort (months of hard working and expectations) could be reduced to nothing... oO

Thank you guys all. I will inform about my progreses Running Naked in a Field of Flowers .
