Did anyone test this on the Shockwave 2 using the Mega Flash ROM SD SCC? When I start a SID, the music briefly plays, but then the computer locks up. Setup: Megaflashrom with sid files + robosid in SLOT 1, Slot Expander with SW2 and Philips Music Module (but only SW2 enabled) in SLOT 2.

enabling or disabling the music module and/or the shockwave2 does not make any difference. They ignore the switch.
Have you tried several sid files from several sources?
How big are the sid files and how much ram do you have? if not known: which computer do you have/is there 512K extra ram in your mfr scc?

RoboSID is still using only the main mapper for memory (i probably need to fix that, although SID files are never that big) and already during loading of the SID it will check whether the file fits in memory. I know there are just a few files that indeed lock up the player but all the provided example songs should work.
Have you tried also with the SW2 directly in SLOT 2? It should not matter since the OPL4 is using OUT ports only.

Set-up:

VG8235 - 256 K (right?)
MFRSCC + 512 K (though, do I need to enable that 512 K?) in SLOT1
OPL4SW2 in SLOT2 directly now

Results:
I am starting in the root of the SD card, with nextor.
I go to my SID folder with ROBOSID 1.7 and example SIDs.
I type for example ROBOSID DELTA.SID
The song either plays a little bit and then corrupts/crashes. it seems also each time at a different time point, unstable.
When I use MAP.COM (the DOS memory mapper) by running it right after boot to A: (the SD card), ROBOSID hangs right after it shows the song name and composer without even any sound.

Probably 128K. Philips pulled the customer's leg when they added RAM and VRAM and put that in one figure.
Now knowing that robosid does not use anything extra than the computer's ram, you're stuck with 128K of which Nextor takes 32K which leaves you, the sid file and robosid 96K.
You do not need map.com.

ROBOSID is about 19K, though I do not know if it allocates anymore space for itself. SID files are small, around 7K for instance. So for 19K + 7K SID there should be ample memory!
Also, the MFR's 512K, is there any way to address that instead ? But I do not think memory is the problem then.
