Dear Sirs,
I am quite new and silent reader.
Trying to get some development chain up and running.
I bought a cartridge from Coral Simple-ASM 1.0 ( I think it is 1.0)

It only shows standard MSX Basic screen. There is no screen as shown here: http://www.generation-msx.nl/software/coral/simple-asm/release/178/

Does anybody has a manual for it?
Or is there a assembler book out there, which uses this simple-asm for demonstrating routines etc?

Thank you

Sincerely
SvaboMSX

Hello,
figured out following:
call edt -> starts the assembler environment
In that environment assembler code can be entered as basic, e.g. 10 ld a,#3
code can be assembled using "a"
registers can be examined by pressing "x"
By pressing M $8000h (or similar, cant remember anymore...) specific memory location can be examined and set to any value
By pressing S $8000H looks like M. Have not figured out the difference

How to start a program I still do not know.
When I hit "r" then I hear the relais of cassette enable tickle.

Anyway... If anybody has maybe an idea where to get a manual, or maybe can explain how the steps would be for development, I would be very happy.
For this question:

Maybe it is inteded to use in mixed mode. Typing in Basic a program. Then switching to the assembler cartridge and entering assembr code, assemble it.
Returning back to basic (how do I do that?) and running from there a call statenent. Or usrfnc (?)

Have a nice evening.

In Msx Fan magazine 1992/8 onwards they have tutorial articles. Proper article starts from 1992/9

Version 1.0 is a rom cartridge, and it can only save to cassette tapes.
A newer rom version exists (2.0?) But no one dumped the rom i think.
The msx fan version is a 1.3 and can save to disk. It is free in the cover disk of August 1992 issue (there are 4 files as mentioned in the article). September disk also have the tool but just 2 files. May be later issues have updates?
There were full paid versions of the tool, and at some point it was released on Takeru, but no one dumped the disks.
Later editions have r800 support. And no scan of the manual.
There was also a book released by Coral covering this assembler. No scans.
Searching on twitter, there are several msx users saying they have it on their shelf...

I guess this is the manual in demand. I cannot find its scan anywhere.

May be all assemblers are similar, but a Brazilian one called Mega Assembler has instructions and quite similar to Coral Simple ASM.

I should have a vintage photocopy of the photocopy of the photocopy of the manual. I'll look for it and post the scans.

I think people are looking for the Coral SimpleASM manual. Also it would be nice to get the newer disk versions dumped as they have not been archived.
