Are you sure you sent it to me or was it to someone else from Abyss ?

I don't remember any Clown...

Yeah, last stuff I send was something with a clown in screen 11. I was busy with a toyland level and a level with candy stuff.

To bad my mailbox I have at the moment only goes back to 1998. When we were working on it, I still used Eudora. Outlook didn't exist back then hehe.

I try to find some stuff on my harddrive. Little chance, but who knows, maybe I find something.

hmm... why al this talk of RPGs?? I think there are plenty good RPGs already, and if you want a lot of people to play your game it has to be at least as good as the ones that already exist, probably better. Personally, I think it's better to create 2 or 3 (smaller) other games than spending years (trust me, I know what I'm talking about, working on a game that was started in 1999 Wink) on a single game. Don't get me wrong, I really like RPGs, but you've got to know your limits Smile

About the planning stuff, I can't do more than simply agree! If we (Team Bomba) did plan things and didn't add new things and new things and more new things, the game would have been finished already (but no way near as cool)... So whatever game you want to make, first get a good team together, with motivated and capable people (we have a coder, a gfx dude, a composer and a gameplay expert), add to that if needed. If you have this team together, then talk with all people involved about what kind of game you want to make (not with just coder and gfx dude or so, you're bound to miss important stuff), what things should be in it, what shouldn't be, etc. This will help prevent a lot of discussions and adding to an already completed game engine afterwards. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about Smile

About what kind of games would be cool... hmm... MKid was mentioned, you can hardly go wrong with a platformer like that. Same goes for a shoot-em-up a la Space Manbow! Another option would be a racing game, maybe a realistic game (F1 Spirit style), maybe something like Micro Machines, who knows...

NO<> There are never enough RPG's because after finishing, i don't like em anymore. So, i need more, better faster and more exciting!

I would love to code one, perhaps for the new MSX (if/when it comes)

I think the RPG element that grabs you by the balls is the atmosphere. When the atmosphere is great you just love to walk around in such an enviroment. It's all about gfx, music and story.

XAK, is the first that comes to my mind after reading your last post, wild dog from hillegom!! That's what grabs balls really hard.

I ask myself, why is/was Xak so popular? mmmm.... let's think. How did they manage to create thee superb atmosphere?

Well, come to think of it... are there actually RPG's on the MSX which have multiple storylines? Where the actions you take affect the gameplay later on?

I am not a big RPG fan, and I would more go in Jorito's direction... what about a racing game in the style of Super Off-Road? That would be nice 8)
