Hi all,

does it exist any asm player with source freely available that can play music files
produced by any decent traker for the msx-audio?

It seems a dummy question, but i cannot avoid it, I googled for hours without results...

There are some players that use MSX-MUSIC and SCC, I do not know if their support MSX-AUDIO too ... The nice feature is that their replace the MSX interrupt driver and their can play even when someone is using the Microsoft MSX-BASIC interpreter!

I believe that it is possible to convert Tracker music to MML format for use with most programs.

While searching for the OPLL Driver , I found a link to YouTube (MSX MGSDRV+MGSEL. I think that you are searching for something similar. MGSEL is nice too ...

Yes, MBM replayer is freeware, but original source of it is not available in the internet...

I remember someone said, that AURORA2.PMA includes PSG limited version of the replayer source... I think you know, where to search it...

PSG limited is a bit of an understatement: I simply ripped all the PSG routines from the replayer since I didn't need them Smile
But the original MBM replayer sources should be online somewhere, too.

Then, ro put all of Oracle online a short while ago and the difference between MBM and Oracle is like the difference between a Citroen 2CV and a brand new BMW.

Oracle has no replayer.... and ARTRAG, I'm sure you can Google "Oracle MSX".

Oracle has no replayer.... and ARTRAG, I'm sure you can Google "Oracle MSX".

It is called Oracle. This program is technically much better than Moonblaster, since it really is able to squeeze everything out of the MSX-Music and MSX-Audio chips! The only problem is that it is so complex that the replayer is not very fast, which makes it difficult to use the music created in Oracle in other software

Oracle is a one way piece of software. As you can read above. 1. There is no replayer 2.Utterly slowCrying
