As at last... we have smooth scrolling non-monochrome racing game for MSX, I suggest that creators of Lotus f3 could make MSX conversion of Commodore 64 classic "RALLY SPEEDWAY" for their next project!!
Graphically, main difference is that in Rally Speedway background is filled with barns, pools, rocks and bushes and there are just two cars (and 1 in one player game )
Rally Speedway is THE RACING GAME to look at and play and it have not aged at all during years!!
You can also choose road type: DRY, WET and ICY. And how fast your car goes and are you driving "In real life" or "in computer only" <--(practising without collision detection to background).
You can drive on the grass, as long as you don´t collide anything, and with careful driving on the grass, you can reach other part of road that way! And same is possible in two player mode, of course!
And there is very-simple-to-use-race-track-editor!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which allows you to choose and place EVERY rock and bush in the playfield (there are many types of rocks and bushes etc...) and of course you can place houses and water areas too wherever you want!
Here´s video:

that PENALTY means that slower player gets penalty time if other player reacher edge of the screen. :)
This game shows music IS NOT needed in very well made racing game which has good sound FX!!
After reading judges opinions, I found out I am not the only MSX´er who likes Rally Speedway! :)
So, how about converting Rally Speedway?
