90 in 1:
It is mapped by a I/O port instead of mapped memory. The port is &H77

bits 0-5: selected 16KB page
bits 6-7: addressing mode...
00 = same page at 4000-7FFF and 8000-BFFF (normal mode)
01 = same page at 4000-7FFF and 8000-BFFF (normal mode)
10 = [page AND 3E] at 4000-7FFF, [page AND 3E OR 01] at 8000-BFFF (32KB
mode)
11 = same page at 4000-7FFF and 8000-BFFF, but 8000-BFFF has high 8KB
and low 8KB swapped (Namco mode)

64 in 1:
As ASCII 8KB but maps in 4000h, 4001h, 4002h and 4003h

80 in 1:
The same as 64 in 1

126 in 1:
As ASCII 16KB but maps in 4000h and 4001h.

I got mail from Sean.
Hope this is what we need ?

If anybody needs the rom files, and can tell me how to exactly use the rom dumper, then I'll do it Smile

Thanks to my contacts in Korea I've been able to collect a huge amount of information on the Zemmix system.

If interested, visit my website Smile

Kris.

Great info pages - and that Zemmix Turbo looks fantastic ... if one day someone could get a hand on it and show it around at a fair or so...

As my Korean friend states in one of the updates below on my Zemmix page:

It is almost impossible to find a Zemmix Turbo.
It was extremely expensive and thus didn't sell very well...
None of my Korean contacts even ever saw a real Zemmix Turbo.
And if they didn't even see it Smile I guess that one is unfindable...
(Then again, if you would have asked me a week ago, I would have said that the Zemmix V was unfindable too Tongue)

In Russia I saw many playrooms using Atari and Famicoms.
Most of these famicoms used many-in-one cartridges.
I always thought that MSX without keyboard can be even better gaming console, especially with this many-in-one ROM.
Now I know that I am not the only one who realized this Smile
Our Korean comrades even made this dream real !

P.S. First time I saw Nemesis 3 and Contra on Famicom. I didn't know that the same titles are released on MSX too (well, on MSX it's without smooth horizontal scrolling)

The problem there is that many MSX games need other keys on a keyboard...

Yup, definitely. With this info all but the 90-in-1 cart can be dumped by SAVEROM.COM
There are instructions and examples at http://www.msxnet.org/utils/saverom

For the 64 in 1 and 80 in 1 use:

Switch Address: 4003
Save Address: A000
Block Size: 2000
First Block: 0
Last Block: 3F

This is assuming the cartridges are 512kB, also try with First Block 40 and Last Block 7F. If the files differ, then the cart is 1MB.

For the 126 in 1 use:

Switch Address: 4001
Save Address: 8000
Block Size: 4000
First Block: 0
Last Block: 1F

Again assuming 512kB, try First Block 20 and Last Block 3F to see if it's 1MB.

The carts may also be smaller than 512kB, this can be seen by comparing two halves of the file, if they're the same the 2nd half can be cut, then repeat this process. If you don't feel like doing all these checks yourself, you can just email me the files and I'll sort it out. My email is patriekl at(spam sucks) dds dot(it really does) nl.

Okay... how do I boot the MSX without the cartridge booting Smile

The not-so-correct way is to insert the cartridge while the computer is on. I'd never recommend this method because it may be hazardous to both the cartridge and the MSX. I'd recommend using a slot expander with a switch to switch off the rom while the MSX boots and switch it in after it has done booting. That is a much safer method (if not the safest).
