Does that mean my MSX2 now have 1.5 MB because of the carnivore2 and megaflash? My Megaflash provides 512 KB and the carnivore2 provides 1 MB
You could have a massive RAM disk? Little point though with the flash cards, I have not done any testing, but I'll bet the cards are just as fast as a RAM disk? I have a Playsoniqs cartridge with massive memory.
We've already done this. And people hated me for.
Oh really I kinda liked it (even if I got it wrong IIRC, which possibly I don’t as I don’t have a 50 pin slot in my head to add more memory and the rest of it is not as good as it used to be).
My recently ordered Carnivore 2 is at the Dutch customs at the moment.
Let's hope we don't have to pay to much VAT or import duties...
I love my MSX computer, I love the concept of MSX computers, cartridges, mappers and I love this community....weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! - kicks feet in the air - Mmmmmm!! THANK YOU GUYS FOR EVERYTHING and for all the information you have given me!! THANK you, sincerely!! MSX is truly for the nerds and geeks heheh!!
I am also quite happy with my Carnivore 2. I do have one question though: is there an easy way to select if you want to buy from the normal internal drive of your MSX, or from the CF card?
Right now i just remove the CF card if I want to boot the internal drive, but I hope they is an easier way.
You can use C2MAN to create a new configuration with the IDE part disabled, then select it from the C2 boot menu.
Or you can use the Nextor default boot keys to prevent booting Nextor from a specified SLOT/SubSLOT.
Check Nextor manual section 2.9.

Thanks That solves it indeed. Enjoying our own Fony Demodisk #2 right now with my "new" toys:
Just let me appreciate how beautiful is this Philips machine. Lovely.

The NMS-82xx are among the pretiest MSX's around. And the NMS-8280 was like a dream-machine when I was young. But at almost 3000 guilders there was no way I could afford it, so... I was already happy with my NMS-8250 back in those days
Yeah! tfh is back in town!
