I built one of Sergey’s Omegas from the very start of the project. I’ve actually been working on a I/O mapped floppy solution for possible inclusion in later revisions. I’m at the driver level now, which seems to be getting closer, but still causing me to bang my head. But if anyone is thinking about building one of these, it’s a great solution for those who live in the US, or want a hackable MSX so they don’t run an original machine.

Hi Jdgabbard!
I have a working prototype.

I've just added the angeisa software ROM to the OMEGA's systems ROMs.
For sure there's a lot to improve and maybe you find its source code or you can adapt this to the WD3765 but by now this works, microsol schematic and angeisa ROM software.
Good enough?

I have version 1.0 as well as v1.1.

Btw, where is your floppy controller??? I see the floppy. But I do not see the interface controller. Did you wire it in internally?

Yes, that's anything I was working for.
An internal TDC-600 would require to work actually hard on the motherboard design and reprogram the SPLD chips, maybe grow them to 22v10.
But with a microsol CDX-2 FDC you can work by port, so... as easy as build a hat over the z80 IC and add the ANGEISA ROM on the Omega System's ROM. Even better if we coud use the FastDisk!rom software but I can't get it to work with the Omega.
Does anyone have the FastDiskRom source code?
It says no drives detected.

Guys FastDiskRom 1.0 is working 3 times faster than Angeisa ROM.
version 1.1e doesn't work with omega.
