RC2014 is a simple 8 bit Z80 based modular computer originally built to run Microsoft BASIC.
It is inspired by the home built computers of the late 70s and computer revolution of the early 80s. It is not a clone of anything specific, but there are suggestions of the ZX81, UK101, S100, Superboard II and Apple I in here. It nominally has 8K ROM, 32K RAM, runs at 7.3728MHz and communicates over serial at 115,200 baud.
RC2014 is available in kit form for you to solder together.

Our new fellow dinotron wants to share this project he have been working on for a few months. He developed MSX compatible modules for his RC2014 kit computer.

So far it is possible to run CBIOS/Nextor and get the Z80 SIO/2 serial card to work (as this is the only way to send/receive data to the system.)
The first games using sofarun seems to mostly work.
Future plans includes porting drivers for IDE, Floppy and other RC2014 storage system.
The 3 1/2" drive and disk just waiting to work in MSX land.

This is great!, RC2014 already has cool V9958 or Z180 boards; so go figure you can achieve tinkering with them...

Wow! I have visited his hackaday page and I like the reference he has given.
Maybe the future of MSX is for tinkering people, for people who like to build his hardware. Or people who like computers, but nowadays they are too complex and maybe with this kind of projects they are attracted to MSX.
I wish dinotron the best.
Good luck and thank you for sharing your knowledge!
