Got mine today and for those interested it also works on the Amstrad CPC with CDT files. It should also work with Jupiter ACE TZX files but I will check the TAP files.
Hi,
I like to purchase one of these.
Thanks
@917k
To purchase, would you please mail me: svi_projects@protonmail.com and tell me if you intend to use the unit with a Spectravideo 318 or 328 computer (as these require the special adapter cable). Also if you would like a postage quote please indicate your general location.
Thanks
My device made the long way very quickly. The packaging was very good and I have a lot of fun with it. Romsey did a very proffesional job. Thanks!
I don't have any use for this device, but it looks so damn cool!
@hamlet,
Hi Hamlet,
I am really interested to hear from anyone who owns a Dragon computer and has an SVI-CAS - I want to know if the TRS-80 CoCo mode works ok with the Dragon, in particular with heavily optimized Dragon CAS images, if you own a Dragon machine would you let me know how well it works.
Thanks
Unfornatualy I do not know any body around here with a Dragon. Maybe we can arrange a meeting on the next Nijm fair.
Is it possible to order this SVI-CAS device and a cable to SVI 328 anywhere?

Romsey posted his email address earlier in the thread so you should contact him via that.
For anyone who may be interested from an evolution point of view or who was sitting on the fence in regards to price versus features, SVI-CAS has undergone a final 4th update & release prior to my moving on to my next project.
Sitting at revision 4.0 the unit now supports the largest range of machines of any unit available including the 8bit Commodores, as well as a generic mode for other machines which also supports some wave image playback facilities. The big final addition though is its ability to now record for all machines in a proper accurate digital fashion using raw TAP, so no bloated wave files taking up megs of storage space.
MSX computers can be recorded at 1200 or 2400 baud, you can even record from the ZX80 & ZX81 which I found to be the greatest challenge, no record level adjustments are required for any machine either, just plug & play.
Thanks.
