Would be nice to ask if he know a people at yamaha specifically involved in vdp 99x8 and V9990 and ask if it is possible to ask something to this. I m meaning a people like Karl guttag was for the tms vdp but working at yamaha ones.
Another thing, on the R800 the z80 it still here : why they not switched to a more powerful cpu like the 68000 and let the z80 act like a Co processor or for compatibility?
He told me has no contacts.
I don't know if I am late but, in my humble opinion, probably he doesn't remember many details of the work he did at that time so I would ask his stuff about the work that was done then at ASCII:
- If he met and worked with Nishi, and how it was working with him
- How many people were then working at ASCII for the MSX?
- How was the structure/rols of the people working there for the MSX.
- Which projects he remember the most and why
- If he was told stuff about the begining of the MSX (there's not much "true" info about the MSX before it was presented in june 1983).
- If he remembers having to cancel some projects...
- Which corporations (Sony? Panasonic? ...) worked with ASCII developing new stuff for MSX2+ or TurboR.
Thanks!
