PS: at 8:38(in your recording) I find it very similar to BOSS ALERT already used. Can you identify the STAGE and the section where it is played.
it's the Stage 3 boss alert. Why did you find it out of place?
My Pleasure Hearts already has 8 credits and a sizable set of items. If you need it for testing please let me know.

if you compare with 6:00 (First boss alert) I think something is wrong with that situation that is why I have decided to enable other ADPCM ENGINE using a second Music Module because I want to put emphasis in some areas where I feel more please to hear without interruption some voices.
@Randam: Thanks but I think is not necessary.
PS: I discover more points (+PCM SFX CODES) where is doable to include more VOICES.

I listened to the recording carefully and yes I noticed the boss alert voice of Stage 1 is of much higher tone than that of other stages. I initially doubted my recording environment, Xenyx 302 USB mixer and Audacity software, but the difference is too noticeable to be an error. So I guess they really are different voices.
I thought the CREDIT increase is evident because I noticed it after playing approx 10 times. Did you "SAVE" the progress every time before you quit playing? PH does NOT autosave.
I am against replacing the original voices with something different. Due to minimal cutscenes, few descriptions in the manual and no followup (like Kyokugen had with Disk 3), I hardly know the story of Pleasure Hearts.
The reason for the low NO! voice might be, from likely one first, 1) it's not Shiia's but "narrator's voice", 2) her tone dropped because of disappointment from losing a life, or 3) "she" is transsexual like Kujira from Kyokugen
Hourai Kanon might say "take off your dirty hands from me" We can never know what M-Kai had in mind. He is master of hidden concepts and misleads. And also meaningful meaninglessness like Izumic Ballade's opening that has nothing to do with the game.
I recently found someone who might know M-kai's recent whereabouts. I wish there is some chance getting a direct help.
Makoto has 256kbytes of DRAM on board. One custom ADPCM channel that works almost exactly like MSX-AUDIO. Neotron also has the same capability, but as the 2610/B is ROM-only, the method of accessing the memory is likely completely different.
Thanks for let us know. I had received the new NEOTRON cartridge last week but it was faulty so send it back for repair.
Hey imatrackman, which are the I/O ports for Makoto Audio Cartridge?
Makoto uses I/O ports 14H-17H. See here for the VGMPlay driver.
Thanks Grauw that mean I can have 3 ADPCM Engines with 256KB ADPCM SAMPLE EACH. Great!!!!!

Sorry for the off-topic reply, but I had to jump in here:
Izumic Ballade's opening is quite directly related to the game! In a way, anyway. It explains Izumi Itoi's inspiration -- why she learned the bass clarinet, and why she's so desperate to spread its joy as far and wide as she can. Yes, the game's story takes a turn when there's the alien spaceship crash outside town at the beginning, but the bass clarinet is always present, since that's Izumi's main weapon and the source of all her "magic." And the boy she's interested in becomes her mentor who helps her learn new techniques, too -- while the music teacher becomes the man who helps makes her stronger along the way. So even though the game's intro is overdramatic, I feel it's directly related to the game, since it introduces Izumi's love of the instrument and people that stand at the forefront of the game's mechanics.

If you ever manage to get in touch with him, please let me know! I really want to continue working on an Izumic Ballade fan-translation someday, but I've reached a point where I honestly couldn't do it without his help... not easily, anyway.

Sorry I didn't notice that. And again I am yet to hear anything about M-Kai. * Probably * developing Natsuki Chronicle.
