One thing though, I don't know if gr8net supports DSK-loading. Can anyone say something about that?
If you pull the trigger on a Panasonic FS-A1, make sure it comes with the Power supply. It's a proprietary connector and not that easy to find a replacement. I've seen quite a few auctions without the power supply. In my opinion the Panasonic FS-A1 is the nicest looking system but the built in OS is a kind of a pain in the ass. Easy enough to bypass with the Delete key on startup, but still annoying. I went for the FS-A1F because it has a floppy drive, only because I like to collect original games so it's nice to be able to play or test original disks.
definitely look into one of the flash carts recommended by others. The Megaflashrom SCC+ SD 512kb is great because it gives your system the extra ram you will need for pretty much anything, as well as the SCC+ sound chip used for Konami games. Another cart you may want is a FM Pak which is used for games that support MSX-Music ( a lot of games do)
The listing I'm eyeing includes the power supply and has pics of it playing a game. The price is around $161, so I'm going to try to nab it unless someone else does first. After looking up gr8net a bit, and adding in all the advice about the megaflashROM, I think I'll be better suited getting the latter. Thanks again, hopefully I come back on soon enough to brag excitedly.
