Yes, but it was only sent by mail, there was no any direct download link. If you ordered from outside The Netherlands, there were PayPal costs for a zero € game, what was very strange ...

In other words, Sunrise kept the exclusive rights of distribution. What's the current situation ? We don't know. I think that when a game is no more officially sold and/or distributed, the creator of the game can take a decision, but it depends from the contracts. In some contracts, the releaser/distributor has too many powers by comparison with the creator, that's my opinion.

Even if Norakomi send you the rom dump. It works only on a MegaflashRom SCC from Spain (with a second PSG integrated in the FPGA) or emulators. The first releases works with the improved FLLOAD on a DIY MegaflashRom SCC. The second is better protected.
Manbow 2 often writes data to the flash Rom. This reduces the life of the flash quickly if you play often.

Cool site right there! Lots of these stuff could be lost and unobtainable forever, if sites like these won't exist. And if the homebrew games can't be nowdays purchased from anywhere, I at least am all in for the possibility to download them easily. Wink Doesn't feel like unethical at all from the warez point of view. I think the developers would also like more that their stuff is enjoyed to this day than forgotten forever...

I haven't yet got what is the idea behind having two PSGs anyway?

How do I identify which version I got?

The programmers should release the source code and creation tools as well before they die and their family throws it all away. Please put it all on archive.org Big smile

I read somewhere that it's to obtain the same level of volume for PSG and SCC on all MSXs but I am skeptical. It's not a good idea if it's the case.

crc32=64d8454a for the v1.
crc32=c90474d4 for the v1 patched for use internal PSG.
crc32=d61b9787 for the v1 patched for disable save and use internal PSG.
crc32=7070a805 for the v2.

The version available above is the v1 with non-blank save (crc32=9b0da83e).

As you may know, the balance between internal and external sound in MSX is not standard. This causes that in some computers the SCC sounds higher that the internal PSG. In others the opposite.
So with a second PSG in the cartridge you can get a perfect balance regardless of the MSX computer used.

What kind of protections use?

Yes, that's right. If the game saves each time you clear a stage and the game has 9 stages, you can only finish the game about 11.000 times. That means that if you beat the game every day of your life you can only play at least for 30 years.
Be careful with that!
