A looong time ago I remember having seen a PAC SRAM management utility. It allowed to copy the savegames to/from the PAC to disk and vice versa. But I can't find it anymore. I don't even remember the utility real name.

Does anyone here remember this utility and where I can find it?

Thank you for the tip! Smile

Is there any way to list the contents of the SRAM (like a DIR command) before saving them to the disk?

PS: There are many other nifty utilities in that site you pointed. Really thanks!

AFAIK SRAM data is not standard. Most of the software divides it to "standard" size blocks (I don't remember the size anymore, maybe 2K?) and uses it as it wills... IIRC not even all of the software use these "slots" causing corruption when used with other games...

So, long story short... No

the fmpac has an inbuilt utility to manage the sram, but does the pac not have one?

Unfortunately, it doesn't have any ROM, so no built in manager.

And that's my case: I have a PAC (aka SW-M001).

Apparently you can use the built in software in fm-pac by having 2 fm-pac/pac in the cartridge slots.
I wonder if you can use the tool by running the fm-pac rom image.

How can you make use of the SRAM from within Basic or Turbo Pascal to save/load save game data

IIRC, there's a program to manage (FM-)PAC SRAM from Basic, but I don't remember the name.

To get this program, you need to ask to BiFi, he's the author of this utility.

Ok, thnx. I hope he is still active on this forum and reads this request Smile Or if someone else has an example or Turbo Pascal library for this it would make me very happy Big smile
