ported from this?
http://umaiboux.k-free.net/yaya/2014-12-29plus1.html
If yes, "ported to openMSX from Zodiac" is not exactly.
I made this. This is based on Mr.Takeda's Common Source Code Project.
http://homepage3.nifty.com/takeda-toshiya/common/

Common Source Code Project did not contain V99x8 at 2014/12/29, so I used V99x8 code of Zodiac.

Ah, I'm sorry, it's indeed ported from your patch. How should we describe it correctly?

umm...
"ported from yayaMSX2SK, it is based on Mr.Takeda's Common Source Code Project" ???

I needed Zodiac's V99x8 code for building my exe file. It is not for Sensor Kid device emulation, but for auto demo.
openMSX's Sensor Kid emulation and Zodiac are not directly related.

OK, thanks, I'll change the announcements where I can. I hope you're happy with openMSX's implementation!

after the release of openMSX with Sensor Kid emulation,
- More people will be able to use emulation of Sensor Kid.
- More flexible to use.
- Using with better emulation of MSX.

All of them are good.

But I don't know whether there are people who want to use emulation of Sensor Kid Smile

I don't have the Sensor Kid. Maybe someday. How to connect the sensors to the PC / Mac?

For sure, I'd rather the emulation of various MegaFlashROM and the MMM.

gdx: all MegaFlashROM's are emulated, aren't they?

gdx: in openMSX, the sensors are fed by a Tcl script. The default implementation just gives simple signals, like sine, triangle and saw tooth waves, but you can extend it also to read out microphone or other PC/Mac specific data. But you'll have to program that yourself.

Maybe my version is too old. I do not see the MegaFlashROM's with ASCII 16K/8K Mapper nor Konami4 Mapper into extentions list.

Ah, right, only the SCC variants were implemented. The other variants are quite rare, aren't they?

All of them are good.

MSX is inded better emulated in openMSX (and blueMSX).

I've noticed for example that all MSX emulators based on Mr.Takeda's Common Source Code Project use the fMSX DISK rom, so it means that disk emulation is not accurate.

As these emulators are WIP, some things still need to be supported : SCC, FM, Megaroms,... Also the CAS/WAV support seems to be uncomplete, I don't have succeeded to run MSX games in these formats, although the loading of the CAS/WAV file seems to work.

Anyway, it's still interesting to have new MSX emulators. Especially your Pioneer PX-7 emulator http://umaiboux.k-free.net/yaya/2014-04-01plus1.html will interest blueMSX users, because blueMSX does not support Laser dics, also because openMSX stil does not have a beautiful interface, just like blueMSX users like.

I don't know. I know a few people who made it themselves, me too. Some MegaFlashRoms ASCII were sold in Korea and Spain. Currently The Repro Factory sells ASCII and Konami4 MegaFlashRoms.

A few Rom loaders exist. I developed that too.
