Probably Nemesis or Knightmare in 1996.

Antarctic Adventure was not probably the first game, but it was the one that burned in to my mind in local computer store. While C64 in same store was running some Moonlander (or similar) game from cassette, it was easy to say that MSX has better games.

Phew, it's very hard to recall what my first MSX game was, but right now I'd say it was one of the Hyper Sports games. And something tediously boring and educational because, you know, parents. Wink

My first MSX game on tape was "Sea Hunter" a horrible game Tongue and my first MSX game on cartridge and second game was Nemesis (abismal difference)

Sea hunter if you are curious (Nemesis don´t need any reference Tongue):

Lazy Jones with its fantastic music, Konami's Ping Pong and Hyper Sports 1.

I was very young and my parents let me play the YASHICA YC-64 only in the WeekEnd.

When I came back from school, before having lunch, I put the tape in starting loading.
After the lunch ... my game was ready: what a fantastic Saturday Afternoon !!

Sometimes I used to visit a friend of mine with a 256K Sony MSX2 and a ctrange cartdrige that makes msx plays better than Amiga !!!

So many years are passed

Time Pilot

I remember my dad loading cassette games for me… took forever, and half of the time it didn’t work.

Not more than 1 hour a day! (well, that rule was quickly ignored Smile)

I do remember it like it was yesterday! The first game I played was "Ali Baba and 40 Thieves". The Magi (the magic kings) brought an Spectravideo SVI 728, a green monitor and this game to me and my brother! I can still hear the (infamous) "music" of this game in my mind

I am now 38 years old and my first memories of MSX gaming is back in 1985, I was 10 years old.

My friends played King's Valley on tape, but it needed 64K and I had a Mitsubishi MSX 1 with 32K Smile

Heck, all the original tape games needed 64K, there were a few for 32K machines.

I'm glad my dad bought me a 8235, but those single sided disks :/ so onto 8245 etc etc Smile

First thing coming to my mind was 'Mad Max' from some introductory cassette that came with a Philips MSX (8020?) that a neighbourhood friend of mine had. My dad brought home a Canon V20 and I copied that cassette in its entirety just to have any software for it. Surely somebody on here must've had the same cassette. Smile
