...configure the OCM to replay movies and I'll agree with you Well, there ARE already MPEG-1 and MPEG-4 encoders/decoders written in VHDL, dunno how tricky it is to implement them in the OCM though, and afaik none of these projects have an open source. Still, hardware decoding and encoding of images/audio/video/whatever is not impossible in VHDL.
