agreed, because you like the game seems to mean liking the cover right away too.
Then again....aesthetics.... some very old games had great covers... vortex raider for instance.
The Chess Game MSX2 also ... a chesspiece with a cut out of it, reveiling a printplate... such a simple idea, yet so effective..
For fun, I could nominate Eggbert and Frantic, but I won't (hence no pics).
Here's a serious entry:
River Raid - http://www.funet.fi/pub/msx/graphics/jpg/gamecovers/River_Raid_-Activision_Ponyca-_front_Japanese.jpg
You could stay it's yer standard shooting game cover, but I like this one more than most others for some reason.
I know of nice KOEI covers, but couldn't find decent scans)You can always scan em yourself if you have them
I got some KOEI games as well, maybe the ones you want to nominate are in there too? If so, give the names of the tooltips and I'll spam em some more
In case you missed the URL somewhere in the first page of this thread: http://www.bifi.msxnet.org/
Those scans are a little on the small side though. I need scans that are at least 72dpi and preferably not JPGs with a high compression factor.
speaking of which, I think there's a RELATIVELY low amount of high quality msx scans anyway.....
sonic, those covers on my page are resized scans (duh)
That doesn't make 'em any bigger, nor does it make 'em higher quality...
I'm going for "EYE" it has something mysterious to me, and it's this cover that I can remember me most.
